provides the basis for the implementation of our mandate from 2024 to 2027, and is meant to give our volunteers and staff direction
in their work as well as guide the operations of Zambia YMCA during the next four years.
Together with other operational plans, this strategic plan will give the much-needed direction for our members of the board, staff and volunteers to use in monitoring and managing Zambia YMCAs operational performance

This is how we support them, and their communities:
Our Volunteers Say
The YMCA has been a platform for nurturing youth potential across different spheres; Body, Mind and Spirit. Working with young people as branch secretary for Lundazi Local Association saw me move through the ladders of personal and professional development and later got norminated as a subject 2 citizen ambassador under the Africa Alliance of YMCA. I remain committed to working with the Zambia YMCA staff and youths to continue fostering youth empowerment in our movement.
S2C Ambassador from Lundazi YMCA
Since joining the YMCA in 2021, its advocacy-focused programming has greatly influenced and motivated me to get more involved in social problems. Meeting Christian friends who are also interested in mindfulness has improved my sense of connection and well-being. The YMCA's varied programs, mostly geared towards young people and incorporating Christianity, have strengthened my personal development, leadership abilities, and resilience.
